Locust Grove Elementary PTO is excited to announce that we’ll be starting the year with a fresh leadership team. We’re thrilled to welcome our new President, Vice President, and Secretary, who are eager to bring new ideas, energy, and community spirit to our PTO.
Kathleen Giblin
President
I’m Kathleen—but most people call me Kat. I’m excited to step into the role of Locust Grove PTO President this year! When I’m not organizing PTO events, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, heading out on adventures, or hauling my kids to dance, cheer, and gymnastics.
I work in Healthcare IT, but my true passion and love is bringing people and communities together. I can’t wait to make it happen at Locust Grove —planning fun ways for families and kids to connect after school while raising funds for incredible events, opportunities, and experiences for our students and school.
We have a committed, energetic team this year, and I’m so excited for the amazing things we’re going to accomplish together!
Jan Latshaw
Treasurer
Jan is excited to serve as Treasurer for the Locust Grove Elementary PTO for a final term this year! With a sharp eye for detail and a knack for keeping things organized, Jan helps make sure our PTO budget stays on track so we can continue supporting our students, teachers, and school community in big ways.
Kelly Knaub
Vice President
Hi! I’m Kelly Knaub, and I’m thrilled to serve as Vice President of the PTO for the 2025–2026 school year. I’m a wedding and family photographer, and when I’m not behind the camera, I love spending time with my family—whether that’s cheering on Elijah at baseball, watching Grace play soccer, going to Phillies games, or enjoying a date night with my husband Shaun.
As Vice President, I’m looking forward to helping build a stronger sense of community at Locust Grove. I truly believe that when families feel connected, kids thrive. I hope to support fun events that bring us all together, and raise funds that make a real difference—whether it’s for field trips, new equipment, or special experiences our students will always remember. I’m so grateful to be part of this school and can’t wait for a great year ahead!
Vernadeth Castillo
Secretary
Hi! I’m Vernadeth Castillo, and I’m excited to serve as Secretary for the Locust Grove Elementary PTO this year. I’m a proud mom of two—one at Locust Grove Elementary and the other in RLASD Junior High—and I love being part of such a wonderful school community.
As Secretary, I help keep things organized, take meeting notes, and ensure important information is shared clearly and on time. My goal this year is to bring more consistency and accessibility to our communications, whether through timely meeting minutes, organized documentation, or creative ways to connect with families.
I’m looking forward to working with our amazing team to help make school a positive experience for all our children.
